Travel Vaccinations

Routine Prevention

Routine prevention is what the vast majority of people would want prior to travel.

  • Hepatitis A & Typhoid – Vaccinations routinely recommended for travel in developing countries.
  • Yellow Fever – A legal requirement to enter some countries.
  • Influenza – Are you travelling during the local flu season?
  • COVID, Pneumonia, Respiratory Syncytial Virus and Shingles – Routine immunization.
  • Measles – An important consideration for people who haven’t previously been vaccinated.

Non-Essential Prevention Strategies

Non-essential prevention strategies depend on the level of risk. You may wish to be protected against the following:

  • Rabies
  • Japanese Encephalitis
  • Hepatitis B
  • Malaria – Tablets are recommended for travel to malaria-endemic areas.
  • Cholera Vaccine – Often used to help prevent traveller’s diarrhoea.

Yellow Fever

We are a Yellow Fever accredited centre, with two of our GPs accredited to give Yellow Fever vaccines.

Please call the clinic to understand the process.

Q Fever

Q Fever skin testing is now available at the clinic.

Initial consultation and Q Fever skin test: $145

The skin test result will be reviewed after 5 days.

If the result is negative, we can then order the Q Fever vaccine.

The vaccine may take up to 4 weeks to be delivered. Payment for the vaccine ($190) is required in advance before we can place the order.
